The Afinia L-801 Plus is ideal if you need to produce colour labels able to withstand water ingress – for example labels used for refrigerated food and drinks, or labels used on pharmaceutical or chemical products. The stationary Memjet Waterfall printhead delivers millions of droplets of patented Watershield dye inks through its 70,400 nozzles, creating razor sharp colour labels at incredible speeds. The Afinia L-801 Plus can handle substantial industrial print runs and uses a 1.25 litre ink tank to minimise downtime. The Afinia L801 Plus uses patented Watershield dye inks that are delivered in millions of droplets per second through the printhead’s 70, 400 nozzles, creating colour saturation and depth that has to be seen to be believed. Watershield dye inks also have excellent water repellent properties, making this printer an ideal choice if you need to print water resistant labels for use in the refrigerated food and drink industry, or for chemical or pharmaceutical labels.

This model uses high-volume individual ink tanks (CMYKK) to minimise ink wastage, and Afinia estimate that the L-801 Plus has a lifespan of 127km of print before key components would need to be replaced. It’s very easy to set up, operate, and maintain, and has unobstructed access to the printhead and ink tanks for easy changeovers and maintenance, a large backlit LCD screen with comprehensive warning and readiness indicators, and an integrated unwinder and autocutter.
