How to use printhead cleaning pens

Locate printhead, make sure you can access it without damaging the printer. Please contact us for a cleaning guide for your printer.
Wipe the cleaning pen gently across the entire printhead surface.
Repeat if necessary
To clean the pen tip, wipe across a clean paper surface

Why it’s important to clean printheads

A clean well maintained printhead reduces faded prints, streaky labels and unreadable barcodes. The printhead quickly builds up dust, dirt and ink, if cleaned regularly you extend the life of your printhead by months, maybe even years depending on your usage and environment. Label supplies can contaminate the printhead, if the labels are kept in a dirty environment such as a warehouse, they can hold dust and contaminates that transfer to the printhead. We stock a range of cleaning materials for thermal and inkjet printers and offer service visits or maintenance contracts if you need some extra help.
